Health Education Alliance of Loudon County
The Health Education Alliance is an accomplished public health organization that serves as a catalyst for prevention efforts. HEAL was established in 1994 as one of the three original health councils in the state of Tennessee. HEAL has been recognized by state and local officials for developing and implementing model prevention initiatives in the areas of social, emotional, and physical well being. In 2000, HEAL received the Healthy Kids Community Award in recognition for its innovative programming targeting children.
Ongoing programming and the fostering of policy changes are at the forefront of HEAL’S mission. By strengthening local leadership and traditions, the agency has generated over a million dollars in programs and services for the citizens of Loudon County. HEAL is recognized as a community leader because of its proactive approach to addressing issues that adversely affect the health of our citizens.
